The search for Anna Negro, 50 years old from Gallipoli, who had disappeared two days after she had driven away from home by car, ends in the worst possible way, without giving more news of herself to friends and family. The searches entrusted to the police, civil protection, volunteers, firefighters, also assisted by an airplane, had started yesterday. In the afternoon today, however, the news of the drama that has extinguished all hope of the family. Unfortunately, the woman was found lifeless in the parking lot of a shopping center in Triggiano, in the province of Bari.
According to an initial account of some witnesses, the 50-year-old was found spilled on the ground next to her Peugeot, already unconscious. Those present then raised the alarm, calling 118. When the ambulances arrived on the spot, however, there was already nothing more to be done for the woman. Carabinieri from the local station also intervened on the scene of the tragedy and allegedly found alcohol and drugs inside the car. Now, it will be necessary to understand the reasons that caused the death of the woman who, from the first checks, had no signs of violence on her body. The body is now available to the Public Prosecutor of Bari who will decide whether or not to arrange further investigations.
