He saved four children from the waves and then died on shore from an illness. So he died, heroically, pushed by his big heart, which then did not bear the sudden stress caused by anxiety and fatigue so as not to drown the four little ones at the mercy of the sea.
It happened around 12, in Castel Volturno.
The victim is Rahhal Amarri, a 45-year-old of Moroccan origin, who has lived for almost twenty years in the Municipality of the Caserta coast, where he managed the Lido dei Gabbiani inside the Coppola Village, where the tragedy took place.
The reconstruction of the affair is still in progress, the police are listening to some witnesses.
According to what has been ascertained so far, the 45-year-old dived into the sea after noticing the four children in difficulty; he managed to reach them and, one by one, led them to the shore, but in the end, exhausted, he was unable to reach the shore.
The attempts to rescue other swimmers, who tried to help him save the children and return to shore, were useless.
On site the Coast Guard and the prosecutor of S. Maria Capua Vetere on duty.
