Rinaldo Melucci confirms himself as mayor of Taranto with 60.63% and 49,807 votes obtained, the definitive figure of the 191 sections scrutinized and closed at 4.04 am on Tuesday after a long night of counting.
The city of the two seas returns to elect a first citizen in the first round after 17 years. The last time it happened was on April 3, 2005 with the election of Rossana Di Bello of the Casa della Libertà with 57.88% of the votes against Ludovico Vico of the center left. But the percentage obtained by Melucci is a record since there is the election of the mayor with the double turn.
Walter Musillo the Grand Alliance for Taranto stops at 29.84% and 24,514 votes; 5.11% and 4200 votes for Luigi Abbate, 4.42% and 3629 votes for Massimo Battista. All enter, according to the first division of the Ministry of the Interior, in the City Council.

9 seats that would be assigned to the center-right: 4 Popular Pact (Stellato, Casula, Festinante, Cosa), 2 Fratell’d’Italia (Vietri, Toscano), 1 Pact for Taranto (Brisci) and Prima Italia (Battista).
