Acilia, an entire family arrested in flagrant for possession of hashish

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Roma Ostia carried out a new important anti-drug repressive intervention in the district of Acilia, arresting an entire family, made up of a 19-year-old boy, already burdened by precedents, the 43-year-old mother and the 73-year-old grandmother, all seriously suspected of the crime of detention for the purpose of drug trafficking.

In particular, the Carabinieri of the Rome Acilia Station, following the outcome of the information checks, carried out a thorough search of the accommodation, finding a total of, over 1.1 kg of hashish, partly divided into cylinders of 100 gr each and partly already divided into ready-to-sell doses, hidden in a storage room for common use of the house. The military then found around 14,000 euros in cash, mostly hidden in the bedroom used by the two women – mother and daughter – and a smaller amount in the boy’s bedroom and closet. The activities then made it possible to seize various material useful for the packaging and preparation of the doses, as well as precision scales, tools for cutting drugs. From subsequent laboratory analyzes it emerged that over 20,500 average single doses could be obtained from the seized drug.

The four were then surrenderedcaught in flagrantee for detention for the purpose of drug dealing and, at the outcome of the validation judgment of the Court of Rome, the 43-year-old and 19-year-old son were sentenced to custody in prison while the 73-year-old grandmother received the precautionary measure of house arrest .

The intervention is part of a broader and intensified repressive action in the Acilia district by the Carabinieri, to counter all delinquent phenomena.
