Saturday evening in via Cornigliano in Genoa a 66-year-old criminal has stolen a vehicle from the Amiuthe company that deals with the waste management service in the Ligurian capital.
The theft of the vehicle
The 66-year-old took advantage of a moment of distraction from the garbage collectors who they were there to carry out their duties, he took the Piaggio Porter and accelerated towards the center, thus sowing panic among the garbage collectors, who immediately raised the alarm. So he left the pursuit by the police cars.
Flowers to justify oneself
Reached by the steering wheels and abandoned the vehicle, the 66-year-old tried to get rid of his tracks and went on a second theft by stealing a bouquet of flowers from a street vendor who was there and believed he could get away with telling the cops that he was there to resell them. But, unfortunately for him, the ploy didn’t work and in via Buranello he was stopped by the agents who handcuffed him and led him to the security cells of the Police Headquarters. At the time of the arrest he was unable to give any other justifications regarding what he had committed, while the vehicle was returned to the garbage collectors, who were thus able to continue their service. His trial is scheduled for today in direct order in front of the judge.
